Buying local

The Advantage of Buying in Your Own State

Most of the risk in buying a kitten online disappears the moment you can drive to the house it was born in.

See the actual room, not a listing

Before anything is decided you get a free 15-minute video call: the kittens live, where they sleep, the parents if you’d like to meet them, and me answering whatever you want to ask.

No shipping, ever

Every New Jersey family collects in person, and from most of the state that’s under two hours. Your kitten’s first car journey is with you, not with a courier.

A breeder you can still call in year nine

Fifteen years in, I still hear from families whose kittens are now enormous middle-aged cats. Local means the support is real: you get my phone number, not a support inbox.

Ragdoll queen with her kittens at Jersey Ragdolluxe in New Jersey

Where they come from

Four Queens, One King, One House

Eve, Melda, Broccolina and Lexi are our queens; Orion is our king. All of them are TICA-registered, health-tested, and live as family cats rather than breeding stock — on the sofa, on the desk, in the way.

Our cats have earned multiple titles in TICA’s Mid-Atlantic Region, but the reason we chose each of them was temperament first. A titled cat that doesn’t want to be near people passes that on, and no amount of type makes up for it.

You’re welcome to meet the parents on your video call, and to see them again when you come to collect your kitten.

“She was patient, answered all of my questions, and even after I picked the kitten I was interested in, she never asked me for a deposit. That level of transparency immediately gave me confidence in her.”
